We are fighting continuously(since 1994), for amendment in the para-3 of the presidential order 1950,issued under ARTICLE-341(1) of the constitution,The moto of our agitation is to include “DALIT MUSLIM” & “DALIT CHRISTION” in “SCHEDULED CASTE CATEGORY” along with Dalits among HINDU ,SIKH & BUDHIST religion.
Due to compulsion of our rigorous nationwide agitation under the banner of All India United Muslim Morcha(previously known as A.I.Backward Muslim Morcha), The Govt of Bihar,Jharkhand,U.P, A.P, Passed resolution for their inclusion in s.c. It was also raised several times in the parliament and about a dozen of Bills are still pending in both the houses. There was an hour and half(1.5 hrs) long debate in LOK SABHA on 18.12.2003,resulting in positive response by the than NDA’s govt.
Supreme Court is also looking into the case since 2004 and on 21jan 2011 ,it has passed an order to the National commissions both for S.C & minorities along with the central govt to submit their final decision to the court for its final disposal on 24.2.2011.
So by now the issue has reached to its full maturity and we have to see who carries the credit of its solution-whether supreme court or central Govt through this memorandam, we have tried in short(since 15-16 yrs long agitation can not be compiled in such few pages) to reveal how an unconstituinal & discriminatory but forcible injustice is going on with the weakest section of Muslims & chiristion communities of India from the last 62 years(since 1950) and that too through mere an executive order famously known as presidential order 1950.
We hope & believe that Dalit Muslims & Dalit chiristians will soon be regranted their denied basic rights, under Article 341, with the joint “MERCY”of our Hon’ble Supreme Court & Secular Central Govt both.
